David L.'s Story
Life
After graduation I worked at Plastofilm in Wheaton until I was laid off. I then joined the U.S. Army on 28 May 1970. I got married on 3 May 1971. My wife Roberta and I have been married for 49 years, and had one son, Who of course is David Jr. I have one grandaughter who is 27years old. I retired from the Military in 1991 and am currently living in Sparta, IL. I worked for a private brand food manufacturing company(Gilster-Mary Lee Corp.), for 18 years, operating a computer and driving a forklift when needed. luding those who are disabled. My wife and I are both enjoying our semi-retirement. My wife was hit by a train (98), and the year after had cancer (99), but with God as the head of all He has seen us through. God has blessed us during this time. Hope to someday retire for good and see some of my classmates.
Military
After being laid off from Plastofilm, Inc., I joined the Army on May 28th 1970. I took basic training at Ft Lewis WA, and Advanced training it Ft. Leonardwood MO. I was stationed in Presidio of San Francisco, Vietnam, Hawaii, Oklahoma, Georgia, Korea, Ft Ord, Ca.and Stuttgart Germany for 6 years
